recalling youngstown

i am dampened by disbelief

picking out sounds

that drip from

faulty chalices

the desperate bargaining

dying breath wasted

promises to a creator

busy watching good morning america

dove soft cooing

dripping with long distance crackle

deadly desire shrouded

wistful remembrance

 her lips

his arms

last track hissing

tone arm lifting

lamb silent and shorn

bald sheep bleating

drowns out loveless

gong clanging

and the metallic popping

as i tilt my head

this was all intended

for the living

all of  it

all of  it
